DIT’s program prepares students for the commercial diving industry by focusing on team success, Students develop skills in leadership and support roles, performance management, and involved decision-making.
At our campus on Lake Union, you’ll learn in the classroom, in the lake on floating dive barges, and aboard DIT’s boat, the M/V Response.
Divers Institute of Technology has been placing industry-trained graduates with elite commercial diving companies worldwide. DIT is proud to maintain our quality reputation, which we have for one reason: we train quality divers.
Active duty military and veterans attending DIT can receive up to $29,920.95 for tuition using the Post-9/11 GI Bill®. At 100% eligibility students can receive up to $3,051 per month, which is paid directly to the student.

This career excites me every day and gives me a sense of pride in doing work that few people can do. Because of this career, I’ve been able to buy a house, own a truck, get married, start a family, and earn a six-figure income doing work I genuinely love. I’m not stuck behind a desk, and no two days are the same. I work with my hands, solve problems in challenging environments, and take pride in knowing I’ve earned everything through skill and hard work.
Going to dive school at DIT has allowed me to do things and meet people I would’ve never met otherwise. Definitely would do it all over again.

Going to DIT was the best choice I have made after getting out of the military. The brother hood from my the military experience almost all carried over to the atmosphere at DIT. The class you are in will definitely become your new family. The staff and instructors care so much about the students and make sure we graduate knowing the basics to make it out in the diving industry. I have also met some life long friends attending DIT.
